Intentionally Nourished + Well

the story behind

Hi, I’m Taylor!

I’m a functional nutritionist who is passionate about all things health and wellness. I want to hear your story (from the beginning!) and work together to create a personalized nutrition and lifestyle plan that addresses your symptoms at the root.

I use the functional medicine model to guide my assessments and recommendations and take a food-first approach. This means that I prioritize whole food recommendations to meet your body’s specific needs using your history, symptoms, labs, and dietary preferences.

From my own experience, fostering a healthy connection with your body and practicing mindfulness empowers you to make intentional choices that support your health, day after day.

I weave mind-body connection practices, mindful eating, and intentional movement into my recommendations to help you do the same.

BEHIND THE SCENES

BEHIND THE SCENES

I am so excited to combine my years of experience in healthcare with the knowledge I gained in graduate school to help you make intentional & informed choices that will nourish your body and support holistic wellness.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2017 and have worked in the hospital setting ever since - primarily on the medical/surgical and intensive care units. My years as a nurse have provided me with first-hand experience of just how powerful conventional medicine is, but I have also witnessed how disconnected many of us are from our bodies and the powerful impact food has on them.

I had my own realization of how impactful food can be when I was a busy college student that treated food as an afterthought. My body responded with severe allergies and frequent illnesses. Fortunately, it was also in college that I discovered yoga and truly connected to my mind, body, and soul for the first time. Yoga had such a profound, positive impact on my physical and mental health that I completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2016 to share the practice with others. I credit my yoga practice for inspiring me to dig deeper into my own health.

After about 5 years as a nurse, I knew I wanted to further my education to help people heal in a more holistic, personalized way and found the University of Western States’ graduate program in nutrition. I absolutely loved learning the science behind functional medicine and evidence-based nutrition and graduated with a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine in the fall of 2024.

I have nearly completed my certification in functional medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine and am currently earning the 1,000 supervised hours required to become a board-certified and licensed Certified Nutrition Specialist.
